Occasions Big Shot Club

We celebrated Birthdays this month at our Big shot Club Meeting! I went outside my comfort zone and tried a color combo from a swap I received at Leadership and my customers loved the BRIGHTS! Concord Crush, Real Red and White..This is a box made with the Petal Cone die and the Fun Flowers die cut in the OCM.
The flowers were cut and and sprayed with water let set and then peeled them apart and sponged the flowers to give them a 3 dimensional look.
I first saw this box without the the top petal on it on Chick & Scratch's blog Angie did a great video. I have seen several versions since. this one I just tweaked to my own specs.

Technique for Flowers

Sponging TIPS**

In a Stampin’ Sponge piece on an ink pad by pressing and twisting into the ink

Begin on scratch paper to the side of your flowers and wipe the sponge from the scratch paper, across the edge of the card stock and on the card stock.

This ensures that the ink will be darkest at the edge and prevents unexpected dark spots.

Cut your Stamping Sponges into 8-10 wedges, rather than using the full circle sponge for a single color

You can use the round tab punch and staple a piece of that color paper to the top of the sponge to show what color it has been used for.

Clear Mount Stamp Cases

We also made a really cool make and take at Leadership with these.
These would be awesome to fill with all Occasions card and give to a friend as a gift or a hostess gift!

I saw this idea on one of my favorite blog sites Patty Bennett and I wanted to share her idea with you! Another great use for the clear mount cases.

I am definitely going to order these and implement this into my organizational program!

Patty's sample:

These are the STAMPIN' UP! CLEAR-MOUNT STAMP CASES (that we sell on pg 192) and I've put my opened packs of Rhinestones, Pearls, flowers, etc., in them... they stay nice and neat and stay organized on my shelf!

Clear case accessories

for the label, I cut off part of the packaging of each accessory and then just wrote the name of each item with a marker. Tool cool!

Hope you get a wild hair and get all organized and energised and created magnificent things today!

Valentines Big Shot Club - Janauary 2011

I am in LOVE with this petal cone die!! It is a must have in your stash item!!
There are so many possibilities we have only tipped the top of the iceberg!
Gorgeous Valentines for a masculine touch or an elegant classy friend Valentine
Love Matters DSP, Black, Vanilla, Satin red ribbon and vanilla rosettes with a heart embosslit!
Ohh La La!
This card was inspired by a swap I received at leadership by Amanda Coughlin at www.stampvamps.com
Then this Bitty Box has a bonus a little envelope die on it as well!
I sprayed it with Vanilla smooch spray prior to assembly (let it dry)
and filled it full of BLISS candies. Now that I have my Bliss set, yes, I am going to add some more BLISS to that baby!

inside of the card another fav of mine Word Play you can't go wrong with this set!

Now this is a single petal cone roller wheeled with I heart jumbo wheel in Real Red on whisper white and embellished with a cute little sucker inside! Perfect for my daughters class mate Valentine gifts

One of my customers was looking for an idea for there grandson for VDAY and I thought of the train we made last year. We made the whole train... whew alot of work but so worth it.
This year we just did the engine with the milk carton and the caboose with the #2 box.
Punches: 1 3/4 circle, 1 3/8 and 1 1/4 and the small heart punch for the wheels. You must use something like scotch glue to assemble the wheels. Nothing else works I tried everything.
I also use the Love (red DSP) from Love Impressions for the wheel base it is very sturdy.
