Naughty or Nice Memories Class

We enjoyed a little Naught & Nice
with the Letter to Santa Designer Series Paper along with the coordinating Quick Accents
in our Scrap Tin class on Sunday.
This is my favorite project and class to share with stamping & scrapping friends!
Below are some of my favorite shots from the class.

Valerie Chambers has an amazing passion for Stampin' Up and crafting.
She is also a very talented poet.

Front cover of the tin

This was my sample and I was truly very happy with how it turned out.
This is going right on my coffee table so all me guests can check out our family photos.
I am also making one for my Mom and Dad's wedding anniversary photos,
they make great gifts as well.

Creative mind at work!
Love seeing everyone adding their own spin to their tin,
sharing ideas is the best part of gathering together
Miss Kathy & Diana hard at work.
This is a picture of my hubby Scott & I.
This is one of my favorite pages using the NEW Peek a Boo Frames available on September 1st.
from the new Holiday Mini Catty . This die cut will be a must have! It works
with every aspect of crafting,& it is fabulous for the scrap tins and mini albums.

SU's punches make great cropping tools.
I used the postage punch to pop out these pictures and they fir perfectly inside this frame.

The Milk Carton Challenge

Our stamp group has been together quite a long time and I absolutely love how everyone helps each other and when we have a new member join us someone always takes them under their wing and makes them feel comfortable. Our new member Miss Kathy is amazing!
She is very talented and I feel so blessed that she chose to join our group.
This our class where we made the milk carton you saw in my last post.
A few ppl feel apprehensive when it comes to the milk carton, but together we sweep away the anxiety and help each other.

Deb & Becky showing off their Milk Carton boxes. it was a popular project once they saw how easy it really was . I had made all the mistakes already when I first made so I was able to share those with them so they would not have to experience the frustration.

Sandra is giving Deb Brown the thumbs up as she finishes her project and displays
it beautifully as always.
I love my job, teaching and sharing with others my endeavors in crafting.
God has blessed me immensely with this wonderful group of friends.

Milk Carton Tutorial

Timeless Porait Milk Carton (convention project)
(2) Cherry cobbler cut milk cartons, cut off the last tab
Adhere scor-tape to the tabs on each milk carton

Now that they are adjoined in the middle, leave them flat do not adhere the second end
At this point take a 1 3/4 x 9 1/2 piece of DSP and snail it to the mid section of the box. I used the black and vanilla from TP- DSP ( not in the photo)

Here's the trick for the top, took me a while to get this part right. You fold each piece of the top like the above picture and use your cropadile & use the largest hole setting and punch your hole between that small triangle, then fold the next piece over and keep doing the same thing all the way around. ( See the picture below)

  • The dots are where the twine go through in the triangle and the dots in the middle are where I put the black brads.
  • Remember it is still flat at this point but you have to fold it in your hand to punch the holes (this image represents that)when you poke the holes in the top.
  • Use cropadile not paper piercer.
  • Hold it in you hand and go around. ( this looks like it is adhered but it is not.) when done
  • Weave your twine through and pull it tight and tie. The box will then take some shape.
  • With the bottom or the bottom you are going to just let it take it's natural fold in put scor-tape on every bottom flap except the bottom one closest to the inside of the box you do not want scor-tape on the flap at the bottom of you box. You would have scor-tape at the bottom of your box.
This is the best way I know how to explain it, the top is tricky but I hope these directions will help a bit. you may call me or email with any questions.
Hope you enjoy!

Naughty & Nice Memories

This month I will be teaching our Annual Scrap Tin Class!
What is a scrap tin you ask? It is a 24 page scrap book inside a metal DVD tin.
they make awesome gifts or a quick keepsake of photos for you to sit on a table in your home and trust my friends always pick it up and take a look.

The best thing is you can finish the tin in an afternoon and then just go home and add your pictures and a little journaling and your done! That is my kind of scrappin', quick easy and done!
This one is made from the Letters from Santa DSP and the Quick Accents that go with it.
If you are local and would like to attend this class I have 1 seat left on Sunday the 21st of September. If you would like to purchase the tutorial for this kit email me at www.whitneyrichardson1969@gmail.com.
