Elegant Soriee' in our Club House

I am totally addicted to to these Scallop Pop Up cards! This Elegant Soiree' DSP is one of my favs! Snuggled in Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, and Baha Breeze
Stamp Set:AfterThoughts (Level Hostess set) in Baha Ink
Punches: Extra Lg Scallop Punch, circle scallop punch
Half Back Pearls, Embosslit Butterflies, Baha Breeze 1-1/2 inch ribbon with 1/8" espresso taffeta ribbon to tie the top.

This is the back inside flap with the Clear Scallop in ES-DSP, #2 Circle Scallop die cut in Espresso and then the 2 1/2 inch circle with Elegant Lines embossed on the top in Vanilla and then
stamped the sentiment from my NEW set "Just Believe"in Espresso ink.

This is the view you get when the scallops pop up when you open the card!
Joygous!! I used the NEW set Word Play (MHIYS), i used my markers Baha and Espresso to ink up the "Imagine the Possibilities" stamp,on a matchbox label, then I took one of the Scallops in Vanilla from the #2 scallop die and cut out a whole in the middle and replaced it with Baha circle in the middle then I off centered the scallop ringlet and put it around the sentiment and added a little Espresso duck tail 1/8 ribbon under it. Espresso butterfly embosslits galore throughout this card with pearls.
Then the bottom of the front view of the card is with the oval die cut largest oval in Baha and medium scallop in Vanilla stamped in Just believe flower stems in Baha for a background
( I stamped off)
close up view

close up of the bottom

I figured if you can make this card with the Large Circle Scallops you should be able to do it with a Square Clear Scallop. It worked perfectly. I used this beautiful flower I made casing the page in the IBC on the Elegant Soiree' page (Island floral) Espresso, Blossom Party die in the DSP and then Boho punch Espresso and Crumb cake

Baha Breeze Scallops from the Clear Scallop die in the middle, then Crumb cake ES- DSP Paper Daisies, Crochet ribbon, Modern Label vanilla sentiment from Vintage Vogue
" Love Helps"

This is the back just waiting to be decorated!!

New DSP Card Purses

A little sneak peak at upcoming projects and some of my new goodies!
These are the new designer purses we are doing at our next stamp camp. My friend Linda came up for my stamp camp luau and she brought me some RAK and one of them was one of these purses. So when I got my new DSP from the new catty I whipped up a few, my customers are chomping at the bit to learn how to make these. They will each get to pick the DSP they will make their card purse out of and we will fill them with matching cards.

New Catty Open House 2010

At any New Catalog Open House- a Catalog Survival Kit is a must!
I printed them on CS and then cut them out on the BIG SHOT 2 tag die cut

The Scavenger Hunt was so fun!! It really helped my customers get use to the NEW design of the new catalog. They really enjoyed the games and of course there were doorprizes. Deb Brown the winner of the Scavenger Hunt won a FREE retired stamp set of her choice!
This is one of the cards we made as part of the make and take portion.
Features:
Stamps: Elizabeth, Elements of Style
CS:Concord Crush, Blushing Bride, Vanilla & Lap of Luxury DSP
INKS: Concord Crush, Blushing Bride
Big Shot:Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder
Punches: Medium oval to pop up the sentiment with dimensionals
Ribbon: Love this new poly stitched Blushing Bride, very easy to work with if you are ribbon challenged. Love that little twist of ribbon underneath the focal point.
This is an orginal! This is one of the stamps I could not wait to get in the new catty!
Stamps: Ornate Blossom embossed in black embossing powder with a new half back pearl
the sentiment is from the Level One Hostess set "Afterthoughts" stamped in Cherry Cobbler
and the background is Bella Toile stamped off and on in Black.
CS: Black, Cream Confetti,Cherry Cobbler,Love Letter
Big shot: Scalloped Oval ( the focal point is stamped on the oval from the middle of this die cut)
Ribbon:Black Satin
Technique:Tearing and Sponging remember to wet the back of your CS before tearing and tear up not down. SU cardstock is dyed all the way through(which is one of the reasons our CS is the BEST!) The DSP is not dyed all the way thru which allows you to use your cutter kit and distress it until it curls back and then you can see the other side of the two-sided DSP and then you can sponge the edges of both and it gives it a burnt look.
This technique is so much fun, as you can tell we really like it.
This is one bucket of our door prizes.

Then we played deal or no deal, I chose certain retiring stamp sets and offered one for full price and the second one of their choice equal value or less for 1/2 price or they could choose one of the numbered milk cartons. Take your chances, great deal on that set you have your eye on or get the box which could have good stuff or be a dud. This was fun everyone enjoyed it!

Deb Forguson enjoying her make and takes. Such a wonderful lady and a great friend and customer,
Lynn and Leslie are two of my downline Serenity Stampers.
a great new experience for them as they venture into starting their SU business.
Both are very talented and getting off to a good start.

Deb Brown scavenging through the book to win the catalog scavenger hunt!
She won a FREE stamp set of her choice from my retired collection.
Her friend Jae our local Pampered Chef lady who has not bought a store bought card in over 10 years.
She hand stamps all her own cards. Hopefully, her schedule we ease up and she will become a regular member of our stamp group soon!

We had a great time and looking forward to our technique class on July 16th Friday night!

Basics 103 class

I love this little ensemble. It was inspired by Mary Fish's designs.
Colors:Are a Lovely combination of Sahara Sand,Artichoke, and Vanilla
You can see the fancy favor box in the back that I doubled up and attached two of them together.
This card was made with the EXCLUSIVE Level one Hostess Set
"Because I Care"
which you can only receive if you have a workshop in the amount of $150.00 or more. I must say our Hostess stamp sets are AWESOME this year!
Accessories:
Big Shot: Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder on the sand layer 5 1/4 x 4
I stamped the flower in Artichoke on the Sand cs then I used the small flower stamp in the set and stamped about 15 flowers on a scrap piece of Sand and used my bitty flower punch from the bitty punch set($16.95 for 3 small punches)but, first I colored them in with my Uniball White gel pen and used the 2way glue and dazzling diamonds on them, then I punched them out and used dimensionals to pop them up creating a 3-D effect on top of the flower. Then I used the gel pen to color the stamped image around the edges where the flowers are not popped up. I used the mat pack on the artichoke layered piece behind that sand base stamped focal point. Then I sponged white craft ink around the edges of the top Sahara sand piece giving it a faded in look, this looks so cool up close. Then I stamped the sentiment on artichoke" Because I Care" and used the medium oval punch to pop it out and adhered it with dimensionals and used silver cording to tie my bow.
I also used the mat pack to line up and put the holes in for the silver brads at the bottom.
The ladies in my class went wild over this card and the 3-D ensemble we made to go with it.

A closer view of the flowers

We made this box #2 with the Big Shot and used our oval scallop punch to punch the hole in the middle and used acetate behind it and stamped on the acetate with white stazon. I also stamped Elements of Style on the base of the box with sand ink giving it some depth. Then we used the butterfly embosslit to embellish it with butterflies in artichoke with artichoke ribbon bow on top.

Then we switched gears and headed to the NEW Newspaper DSP and the Artistic Etchings stamp set. This card is inspired by my upline Lisa Curcio.
CS: Cherry Cobbler, Basic Black and NP DSP and Vanilla
Inks: Black and Cherry Cobbler
BS: Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder on the cherry cobbler layer
The flower is made with NP DSP and the NEW extra large scallop punch and the circle scallop punch with a 5/8 circle white brad in the middle

Big shot #2 Last Club Meeting

This our first project the top note purse which you can fill with 3x3 note cards and it makes a lovely gift.
My upline Lisa Curcio taught this box at a downline meeting not to long ago and I shared it with my group. You cut one Box #2 and then just cut an extra lid at 3 1/2 and 3 3/4 and stick strip it to the backside which makes it like a tee pee on top. Embellish as you wish. We used the new stamp set perfect Punches and the curly label punch and movers and shakers magnet.

side view

Caught this box design from Patti Lee, there are two different sizes.check out the directions at www.CreationsbyPatti.blogspot.com

These are the designs we did with Garden Gala DSP from the new catty.

We used 4x4 coasters and adhered the DSP and ran the top one thru the BIG SHOT Movers and Shakers die and used a piece of window sheet behind it stamped it with white stazon with the stamp set Good Friend and then used the sentiments from Sweet Sayings with the modern label punch and magnet die. Colors here are the NEW Daffodil Delight and Pear Pizazz.

This is the smaller version of the box which you can fit candies in.
