Shabby Chic & Embellished

Don't you love it when you create a card from
the vortex of your own creative mind?
I rarely have the time to spend several (won't tell you how many I spent on this one) hours
to make something truly original. Thank God for my friends in the SU blog world who share their ideas each day to inspire and allow me to CASE such beautiful creations!
I am a casing, tweaking , color combo switching queen.
But today I took the time and made something from the heart that really makes me smile.
I always make all my samples and put them on the shelf and whatever cards make me smile the most when I look at them are the cards I usually end up teaching at class! Not always the most profitable approach but my stamping friends seem to like it!
So here it is- I really hope you like it!

I love the eclectic vintage shabby chic feel of this card! It is a frilly fru fru!
If someone sent me this I would be over the moon! Just saying>>
Supplies:
CS: Vanilla base with Natural Composition DSP( the sheet with the lines),
Tea for Two DSP, First Edition DSP, Amore Amore DSP
Stamps: Hey There Friend & the splashy dots (love em')
(From the NEW Paper Pumpkin kit coming out in March)
I am addicted to these 2 stamps. I would by the whole kit just for the 2 stamps but thank goodness I happen to love the whole kit!
Punches: 3/4 in circle, butterfly, itty bitty punch trio,1 1/4 circle scallop, 1 inch square
Big Shot Heat Framelits,
Accessories:Vanilla Seam Binding, Tea Time Trinkets, Vintage brad, trinkets clip & pin and since I can't sew a lick I used my gel pen around the edges to give it the illusion of stitching.
The placement of the bow and hearts was actually the most time consuming part. I had to get the right flow going? Do you do that? Now is the perfect time to stock up on your wish list.

Putting Your Heart on the Line

Welcome to the first Hawaii Ink Blog Hop! You have probably hopped over from Brooke's blog and checked out her amazing creations.
We are so excited that you are joining us on our first of many Hops to come.
I think we all have had a blast putting this together and playing with all the new products from the
Spring Catalog which just launched. So grateful to be a part of such a talented group of woman.

This card is called "Puttin' Your Heart On the Line"
I showed it to my husband who is very crafty and my biggest supporter. I always bounce samples off him for feedback. His comment was it looks like a person hanging from a clothes line -then he said hey it is a good Heart on the Line card. Then I saw the card in a whole new light. Isn't it funny how we all see different things when we look at certain cards? LOL  I thought it was a great VDay message card.

I tried my hand at the technique that is all the rave now called the chalkboard technique.
Check back  for more details on this technique which we will be doing at our upcoming

Spring Catalog Goes Live Today!

I love this time of year! A New Year filled with possibilities and  a new catalog full of ideas and products
to explore our creativity! I feel so blessed to have a new studio in our new house
so that everyone can come and visit and have fun stamping together.
This has been a long time dream.....
at the end of last year it came true. We built a new home and I got to design my own stamp studio inside and we converted the garage to
a beautiful classroom where I can teach classes and have parties with friends.
I will get some pictures up of that soon but for now check out the NEW catty!
If you are one of my customers you should have received your copy in the mail if you did not please contact me. I hope you will join us on Jan 6th for our Occasions Kick Off Party!
Contact me if you would like to reserve a seat!
