HUGE Thanks to Blogs by Heather

I would like to give a HUGE thank you to Heather Wright-Porto the guru of Blogger at www.blogsbyheather.com

Last week I opened up my blog to post and all the words had just disappeared off my blog! I had abslolutley no idea where to begin...and once before when my edit HTML button had got clicked and all the gibberish was just showing up, but all it took was a quick click from Heather to put me back on compose and I was up and going again. I receive Heather's newsletter every month chalk full of all the helpful hints that she gives on how to blog on Blogger and Word Press. So this month in a panic again of course I emailed her at 5:30 am and by 10am she had fixed my problem and gave my blog alittle overhaul and cleaned up some things I just did not have the knowledge to do. This is a humbling experience, a fellow SU demo and blogger guru who does not know me from Adam took her valuable time to help not ONCE but TWICE!! Asking nothing in return. I asked how much I owed her each time with no response to that question. So I thought the greatest gift I can give her is sharing my story and telling all of you how wonderful she is and you have seen her work all over blog land she creates and maintains alot of these beautiful blogs we love. Heather just recently was published, not an article or a card but a BOOK! It is a book about how to use BLogger.

Go visit her website at www.blogsbyheather.com and I strongly suggest purchasing the book and it will save you time and alot of frustration by learning how to help yourself fix the kind of problems. It is ONLY $17.95. But she has a wide array of services that can increase your business and help you move forward in your blogging endeavors.

Again a HUGE thank you to Heather!

Whitney

Mini Scrap Flag Card & Love Letters

Remember When.......wow this is the most perfect sentiment for me at this time in my life. when you turn 40ish you start reflecting on how you have spent the time in your life up to now. Then you look up and see one kid is getting ready to turn 18 the other is 9.
This stamp set WORD PLAY, really you can tell an entire story with it.
This is my keyword challenge for the week.
any one who can post a comment telling a story using the stamps in WORD PLAY stamp set
will be entered into a drawing and the best story receive BLOG CANDY! I will choose the winner on August 7th and post the winner!
Below is the inside of the card.
Love Letter DSP
This a version of the Mini flag card we did back at Mother's Day . So I tweaked it and turned it into a Mini Flag Scrap Card. I found this awesome picture I couldn't believe the colors in our shirts were the exact right color and the sizing of the picture was perfect. So I had to figure out how to make this into an oval. So I drew pencils marks around the outside of the encompassed area I wanted inside the oval die cut( the large oval) kept the picture face up and put it on the oval die positioning it just so I would get as much of the main focal point of the picture in their as I could. I think I did pretty good. I just nipped a tad of my DH's(Darling Husband talk in Blog land) head. But overall I am thrilled with this card.
Sentiments:
If you love life it will love you back- Cottage Garden
Life is a matter of Moments- Elements of Style(MHIYS)
Together- from the Summer Mini can' think of the name of the setof 4.
On the left0 Occasional Quotes- Love sentiment
I actually gave it to my husband to get a masculine reaction and I could tell he was really touched right before I repossed it out of his hot little hands. LOL
I absolutely had to add this card to my stamp camp and I though wow we will really run behind w e have so much to do but no matter what I throw at
"MY MOST AWESOME SERENITY STAMPERS THEY ALWAYS MEET THE CHALLENGE"
I am so humbled by the creativity of my group and I would love to here your comments on this post! Comments really make all the hard work of posting worth while!

Deb Brown and Sandra are relaxing making their cards washing away the weeks stress!

Sandra brought in her card for the challenge I sent out. We made these Movers and shakers oval magnet cards last week at class. I challenges everyone to go home and make their own version of the card and she did awesome even using a different magnet, the heart.
Great job, Sandra! It looks very elegant!

Her little heart floating up are from the 3 heart punch and the sentiment is from the NEW set "Just Believe"
